December 2022 and December 2021 monthly comparison reveals that the number of Kauai home sales in December 2022 decreased by 67% compared to December 2021 home sales. December 2022 Kauai land sales decreased by 84% compared to December 2021 land sales. December 2022 Kauai condo sales decreased by 69% compared to December 2021 condo sales. The number of Kauai properties sold decreased by almost 70% for homes, condos and vacant land sales compared to last year December. Due to the lack of inventory and increase in mortgage rates, Kauai real estates sales for December were dismal.

The Hanalei district led sales with 16 transactions, followed by Kapaa with 11 transactions, followed by Koloa with 10 transactions, followed by Lihue with 5 transactions and followed by Waimea with 2 transactions.
